Ingredients

  • 2 pounds country style pork ribs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce optional for glazing

Instructions

Prepare the Ribs

  • Rinse ribs under cold water and pat dry. Remove excess fat if desired. Cut into smaller portions for easy cooking in the air fryer.

Season the Ribs

  • In a mixing bowl, combine salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Toss ribs with olive oil and seasonings. Make sure all pieces are coated.

Preheat the Air Fryer

  • Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Preheating ensures the ribs cook evenly and get a crispy exterior. This takes about 3-5 minutes.

Place Ribs in Air Fryer

  • Arrange ribs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking. Leave some space between pieces for hot air circulation.

Cook the Ribs

  • Air fry ribs for 12 minutes. Flip the ribs halfway using tongs for even browning. Check for golden brown color and tender texture.

Add Barbecue Sauce

  • Brush ribs with barbecue sauce if desired. Air fry for an additional 5 minutes. The sauce will caramelize and make ribs extra flavorful.

Rest and Serve

  • Remove ribs from the air fryer. Let them rest for 5 minutes. Serve hot with your favorite sides. Enjoy tender, crispy ribs immediately.

Notes

  • Cut ribs into smaller pieces for faster cooking.
  • Preheat air fryer for even browning.
  • Don’t overcrowd the basket.
  • Brush sauce near the end to prevent burning.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check for 145°F internal temperature.
