Ingredients

  • Ground lamb – 1 pound
  • Garlic minced – 2 cloves
  • Onion finely chopped – ½
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper – ½ teaspoon
  • Paprika – ½ teaspoon
  • Olive oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Burger buns – 4
  • Lettuce leaves – 4
  • Tomato slices – 4
  • Cheese slices optional – 4

Instructions

Prepare the Lamb Mixture

  • In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, minced garlic, chopped onion, salt, pepper and paprika. Mix gently to keep the meat tender.

Form the Patties

  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions. Shape each into a round patty about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center to cook evenly.

Heat the Skillet or Grill

  • Place a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Add olive oil and let it warm. This prevents the burgers from sticking and adds flavor.

Cook the Lamb Patties

  • Place patties on the skillet. Cook for 5–6 minutes on each side. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 160°F for medium doneness.

Add Cheese (Optional)

  • During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty. Cover the skillet to melt the cheese evenly.

Prepare the Buns and Veggies

  • While the patties cook, slice buns and prepare lettuce and tomato. Toast buns slightly for extra flavor and texture.

Assemble the Burgers

  • Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, add the lamb patty, top with tomato slice, and cover with the top bun. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the meat to keep it tender.
  • Make a small indentation in the center of patties for even cooking.
  • Let patties rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Toast the buns for better texture and flavor.
  • Use fresh vegetables for a crisp bite.
