Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough 8 biscuits
  • 300 g breakfast sausage
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 eggs optional topping
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Biscuit Base

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Flatten biscuit dough and press into a pizza pan. Join edges to form a crust. Bake for 10 minutes until lightly golden but not fully cooked.

Cook the Sausage

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add sausage and cook until browned. Break into small pieces while cooking. Once done, remove and set aside, keeping some fat in the pan.

Make the Gravy

  • Add butter to the skillet with sausage drippings. Stir in flour and cook for one minute. Slowly add milk while whisking continuously. Cook until thick and creamy without lumps.

Season the Gravy

  • Add salt, black pepper and garlic powder. Mix well to combine flavors. Let the gravy simmer gently until it reaches a smooth and rich consistency.

Assemble the Pizza

  • Spread sausage gravy over the biscuit crust evenly. Add cooked sausage pieces on top. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly for a melty and cheesy finish.

Bake the Pizza

  • Place the pizza back in the oven. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until cheese melts and turns slightly golden. The crust should cook fully and become soft inside.

Add Toppings and Serve

  • Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Add cooked eggs on top if desired. Garnish with parsley. Slice and serve warm for the best taste.

Notes

  • Pre-bake the biscuit base to avoid soggy crust.
  • Use fresh sausage for better flavor.
  • Keep stirring gravy to prevent lumps.
  • Add chili flakes for a spicy twist.
  • Use a mix of cheeses for richer taste.
