Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups unsalted butter 4 sticks
  • 1 whole garlic bulb minced
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions
 

Melt the Butter

  • Place butter in a medium saucepan. Heat over low to medium heat. Let it melt slowly. Do not let it burn or brown.

Cook Garlic and Onion

  • Add minced garlic and chopped onion to melted butter. Cook for about three minutes. Stir often. The mixture should smell fragrant and rich.

Add Dry Seasonings

  • Add paprika, chili powder, Cajun seasoning, Old Bay, black pepper, lemon pepper, cayenne and brown sugar. Stir well until fully mixed into butter.

Add Liquids

  • Pour in chicken broth, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice. Stir gently to combine all flavors evenly.

Simmer the Sauce

  • Let the sauce simmer for about 8–10 minutes. Stir occasionally. The sauce will thicken slightly and develop deeper flavor.

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste the sauce carefully. Add more spice or lemon if needed. Adjust salt carefully because seasonings already contain salt.

Serve Warm

  • Remove from heat. Pour into a serving bowl. Serve warm with your favorite seafood for best flavor.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
  • Adjust cayenne pepper for desired heat level.
  • Simmer slowly to blend flavors well.
  • Do not overheat butter to avoid separation.
  • Stir often while cooking to prevent sticking.
