Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare the Pie Crust

  • Place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix the Dry Ingredients

  • In a bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, cinnamon, cloves, and a pinch of salt.

Add the Wet Ingredients

  • Add milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla.
  • Whisk until smooth and fully blended.

Pour Into the Crust

  • Pour the custard mixture into the unbaked pie shell.

Bake the Pie

  • Bake for 40–45 minutes.
  • The center should be set but slightly jiggly.
  • Let it cool on a rack.

Serve

  • Slice when the pie has cooled and the custard has set.

Notes

  • Do not overbake — the filling should have a slight wobble.
  • Use whole milk for a creamier custard.
  • Mix spices well so the flavor is even.
  • Let it cool completely for clean slices.
  • Add a sprinkle of cinnamon on top before serving.
