Ingredients

  • Ground beef 80/20 blend – 500 grams
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper – 1 teaspoon
  • Burger buns – 4
  • Cheddar cheese slices – 4
  • Butter – 2 tablespoons
  • Lettuce leaves – 4
  • Tomato slices – 4
  • Red onion slices – 4
  • Mayonnaise – 4 tablespoons
  • Mustard – 2 tablespoons

Instructions

Prepare the Meat

  • Put ground beef in a bowl. Add salt and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands. Do not overmix. This keeps the meat soft and juicy when cooked.

Shape the Patties

  • Divide the meat into four equal parts. Shape each into a round patty. Press lightly in the center to make a small dent. This helps even cooking.

Preheat the Grill

  • Heat your grill or pan on medium-high heat. Let it get very hot before cooking. A hot surface gives a nice crust and locks in flavor.

Cook the Patties

  • Place patties on the hot grill. Cook for about 4 minutes on one side. Flip once and cook another 3–4 minutes until desired doneness.

Add Cheese

  • Place cheddar cheese on each patty in the last minute. Let it melt slowly. The heat from the meat will soften the cheese perfectly.

Toast the Buns

  • Spread butter on the burger buns. Toast them lightly on the grill. This adds flavor and keeps buns from getting soggy later.

Assemble the Burger

  • Spread mayonnaise and mustard on buns. Add lettuce, cooked patty, tomato, and onion. Cover with the top bun and press gently.

Serve Fresh

  • Serve the burgers hot and fresh. Enjoy the juicy texture and bold taste. Pair with your favorite sides for a complete meal.

Notes

  • Use 80/20 beef for the best juicy burger
  • Do not press patties while cooking
  • Let meat rest for two minutes after cooking
  • Use fresh buns for better texture
  • Add sauce just before serving
  • Avoid overcooking to keep moisture inside
