Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup mango chunks fresh or frozen
  • 2 habanero peppers seeded
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon paprika

Instructions
 

Prepare the Peppers

  • Wear gloves. Remove seeds from habanero peppers. Chop them roughly.

Add Ingredients to Pan

  • Add mango, peppers, sugar, vinegar and honey to a saucepan.

Cook the Mixture

  • Cook on medium heat. Stir often until mango becomes very soft.

Blend Until Smooth

  • Pour mixture into blender. Blend until smooth and thick.

Return to Heat

  • Pour sauce back into pan. Cook on low heat gently.

Add Butter and Spices

  • Add butter, garlic powder, salt, and paprika. Stir well.

Simmer the Sauce

  • Simmer for five minutes. Sauce should thicken slightly.

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste carefully. Adjust sweetness or salt if needed.

Cool the Sauce

  • Remove from heat. Let sauce cool before storing.
