Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon pecan extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups high-proof moonshine or vodka
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans optional for garnish

Instructions
 

Melt the Butter

  • Put butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Melt completely without browning it.

Add Sugars

  • Add brown and granulated sugar to the butter. Stir well until mixed.

Add Water and Salt

  • Pour in water and add salt. Stir constantly until sugar dissolves fully.

Simmer the Mixture

  • Bring to a low boil. Let it simmer 5–7 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Remove from Heat

  • Turn off the heat. Let the mixture cool for 10 minutes before adding alcohol.

Add Vanilla and Pecan Extracts

  • Mix in vanilla and pecan extracts. Stir gently to combine flavors.

Add Moonshine

  • Pour moonshine or vodka slowly into the mixture. Stir until smooth and creamy.

Bottle the Moonshine

  • Transfer to a glass jar or bottle. Seal tightly and shake gently.

Optional: Add Pecans

  • Add chopped pecans for extra flavor. Let them sit in the moonshine overnight.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Serve cold or room temperature. Enjoy the nutty, buttery flavor with friends.
