Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • ¾ cup Marsala wine
  • ¾ cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken

  • Pound chicken breasts to even thickness. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Dredge the Chicken

  • Coat chicken in flour lightly. Shake off excess for even cooking.

Heat the Pan

  • Add olive oil and butter to skillet. Heat over medium until butter melts.

Cook Chicken

  • Place chicken in skillet. Cook until golden brown, about 4–5 minutes each side.

Remove Chicken

  • Transfer cooked chicken to a plate. Keep warm while making sauce.

Cook the Mushrooms

  • Add mushrooms to the pan. Sauté until soft and golden brown, about 5 minutes.

Add Garlic

  • Stir in minced garlic. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Deglaze the Pan

  • Pour in Marsala wine. Stir to lift all browned bits from the pan.

Add Broth

  • Pour in chicken broth. Simmer until sauce slightly thickens, about 5 minutes.

Finish the Sauce

  • Add heavy cream. Stir gently. Return chicken to pan. Heat through.

Garnish and Serve

  • Sprinkle chopped parsley on top. Serve hot with creamy sauce over chicken.

Notes

  • Pound chicken evenly for quick, uniform cooking.
  • Use fresh mushrooms for best flavor and texture.
  • Stir sauce constantly to prevent burning.
  • Adjust Marsala wine amount to your taste preference.
  • Serve immediately for the best creamy texture.
