  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips milk or dark
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil optional
  • Extra powdered sugar or cocoa for coating

Instructions

Mix cherry filling

  • Combine cherry preserves, powdered sugar and vanilla in a bowl. Stir until smooth and thick.

Chill the mixture

  • Place the cherry mixture in the fridge for 10 minutes. It will be easier to shape later.

Shape into balls

  • Use a spoon to scoop mixture. Roll it into small balls with your hands.

Melt the chocolate

  • Place chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals until smooth.

Coat the truffles

  • Dip each cherry ball into melted chocolate. Use a fork to cover fully. Shake off extra chocolate.

Let them set

  • Place coated truffles on parchment paper. Let them cool at room temperature until chocolate hardens.

Notes

  • Use fresh cherry preserves for best flavor.
  • Do not overheat chocolate to avoid burning.
  • Chill cherry balls longer if they are too soft.
  • Try dark, milk, or white chocolate for variety.
  • Dust with cocoa or powdered sugar for decoration.
