Ingredients

  • 2 cups freshly brewed strong coffee
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons cherry syrup
  • 2 tablespoons sugar adjust to taste
  • ½ cup milk whole or any choice
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream optional for topping
  • Chocolate shavings or cherry optional garnish

Instructions

Brew the Coffee

  • Brew two cups of strong fresh coffee using your coffee maker. Use dark roast for deeper flavor. Keep the coffee hot and ready. Fresh coffee gives the best taste and aroma.

Heat the Milk

  • Pour milk into a small saucepan. Heat gently over low flame. Do not boil the milk. Stir slowly until warm. Warm milk blends better and makes the drink smooth.

Mix Cocoa and Sugar

  • In a small bowl, combine cocoa powder and sugar. Add two tablespoons of hot coffee. Stir until smooth paste forms. This prevents lumps and gives rich chocolate flavor.

Combine Chocolate Mixture with Coffee

  • Pour the chocolate paste into the remaining hot coffee. Stir well until fully mixed. The drink should look dark and smooth. Make sure there are no cocoa lumps.

Add Cherry and Vanilla

  • Add cherry syrup and vanilla extract into the coffee mixture. Stir gently to combine flavors evenly. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. The cherry adds fruity sweetness and aroma.

Add Warm Milk

  • Slowly pour warm milk into the coffee mixture. Stir continuously for smooth blending. For a frothy top, whisk the milk before adding. The drink becomes creamy and rich.

Garnish and Serve

  • Pour Chocolate Cherry Coffee into mugs. Top with whipped cream if desired. Sprinkle chocolate shavings or add one cherry on top. Serve immediately while warm and fresh.

Notes

  • Use dark roast coffee for bold flavor.
  • Adjust cherry syrup for more fruity taste.
  • Use dairy-free milk if preferred.
  • Do not boil milk to avoid burning.
  • Stir cocoa with hot coffee first to avoid lumps.
  • Add a pinch of salt to enhance chocolate flavor.
