  • Pie crust
  • Sugar
  • Cocoa powder
  • Milk

Prepare the Pie Crust

  • Bake your pie crust until golden. Let it cool completely before adding the soft chocolate filling inside.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • Place sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch and salt in a saucepan. Stir the dry mix well until fully combined.

Add Milk Slowly

  • Pour milk into the saucepan slowly. Stir gently to avoid lumps and make the mixture smooth and creamy.

Cook Until Thick

  • Cook the mixture over medium heat. Stir nonstop until it becomes thick, shiny and rich like pudding.

Add Butter and Vanilla

  • Turn off the heat. Add butter and vanilla. Mix until the filling turns glossy and perfectly smooth.

Fill the Pie Crust

  • Pour the hot chocolate filling into the baked crust. Spread the top gently with a spatula for a smooth finish.

Chill Before Serving

  • Place the pie in the fridge. Chill for hours until the filling becomes firm, creamy and ready to slice.

Notes

  • Use whole milk for a creamier texture.
  • Do not stop stirring or lumps can form.
  • Let the pie cool before cutting to avoid cracks.
