Chocolate pudding is pure comfort. It is sweet, smooth and very creamy. Many people love this treat because it feels warm and cozy.

Ingredients
  

  • Milk – 2 cups
  • Sugar – ½ cup
  • Cocoa powder – ¼ cup
  • Cornstarch – 3 tablespoons
  • Butter – 2 tablespoons
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon

Instructions
 

Mix the Dry Items

  • Add sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch and salt in a bowl. Whisk until everything looks well mixed.

Warm the Milk Slowly

  • Pour milk into a saucepan. Heat on low flame. Do not boil the milk yet.

Add Dry Mix to Milk

  • Slowly whisk the dry mix into the warm milk. Stir gently until no lumps remain.

Cook Until Thick

  • Keep cooking on low heat. Stir often. Wait until the pudding becomes thick and smooth.

Add Butter and Vanilla

  • Turn off the heat. Add butter and vanilla. Mix until the pudding looks shiny and creamy.

Cool Before Serving

  • Pour the pudding into bowls. Let it cool for a bit before eating or chilling.

Notes

  • Use whole milk for a richer taste.
  • Stir nonstop to avoid lumps.
  • Do not overcook or the pudding becomes too thick.
  • Add extra cocoa for stronger chocolate flavor.
  • Chill longer for firmer pudding.
