Ingredients
  

  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk or water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour optional, for thicker gravy
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

Melt the Butter

  • Place a saucepan over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt completely. This gives your gravy a rich flavor base.

Add Flour (Optional)

  • If you like thick gravy, sprinkle in the flour. Whisk for one minute until smooth. It will help the gravy have a nice, silky texture.

Mix in the Soup

  • Add the can of cream of mushroom soup to the pan. Stir gently so it blends with the butter and flour.

Add Milk or Water

  • Slowly pour in the milk or water. Keep whisking to remove any lumps. Adjust the liquid to get your desired thickness.

Season It

  • Add black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and a pinch of salt. Stir well so the flavors mix evenly.

Simmer and Serve

  • Let the gravy simmer for 5–7 minutes until smooth and thick. Turn off the heat and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use milk for a creamier texture, or water for a lighter one.
  • Whisk constantly to avoid lumps.
  • Add a splash of soy sauce for a deeper color and flavor.
