Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup melt-and-pour soap base
  • 4 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp vitamin E oil
  • 12 drops sweet orange essential oil
  • 6 drops vanilla fragrance oil
  • A few drops orange soap colorant optional

Instructions

Prepare the mold

  • Place clean silicone molds on a flat tray. Keep them near your working space to avoid spills or mess while pouring later.

Melt the soap base

  • Cut the melt-and-pour soap base into small cubes. Heat in a microwave in short bursts until smooth and fully liquid without lumps.

Add coconut oil

  • Stir in melted coconut oil gently. Mix well so the oils blend with the warm soap base and stay evenly combined for smooth bars.

Add vitamin E oil

  • Drop vitamin E oil into the bowl. Stir again. This oil helps skin feel soft and cared for after gentle exfoliation during showers.

Add orange fragrance

  • Add sweet orange essential oil to the warm mixture. Stir slowly. The smell becomes bright, fresh, happy and just like creamy orange popsicles.

Add vanilla fragrance

  • Add the vanilla fragrance oil. Stir well. Now the scent is creamy and sweet. It smells like soft ice cream with orange.

Add color

  • Add a few drops of orange colorant if you want. Stir gently to get a light creamsicle shade that looks soft and playful.

Add sugar

  • Pour sugar into the bowl slowly. Stir carefully so the sugar spreads evenly. This sugar is the gentle scrub part for smooth skin.

Fill the molds

  • Pour the thick scrub mix into silicone molds. Tap the tray lightly. This helps remove bubbles and makes smooth bar tops.

Let the bars set

  • Leave the molds at room temperature to harden. This may take some hours. Do not move the molds too much during setting.

Remove the bars

  • Once firm, press gently and pop bars out. They should feel solid but slightly soft from oils and sugar crystals inside.

Store the bars

  • Place bars in airtight containers. Keep them cool and dry. They are now ready for use or sweet handmade gift giving.

Notes

  • Do a patch test if you have sensitive skin
  • Keep water away from storage containers
  • Add more sugar for stronger scrub texture
  • Add more oil for softer bars
  • Use silicone molds for easy removal
  • Let kids help with supervision only
  • Do not eat these bars
