Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices bread
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 slices mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • 3 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions
 

Prepare the Blueberries

  • Mix blueberries, sugar and lemon juice in a bowl. Mash lightly to release juice.

Heat the Skillet

  • Place a skillet on medium heat. Warm it until slightly hot.

Butter the Bread

  • Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Keep the buttered side out.

Add Cheese Layer

  • Place cheddar and mozzarella slices on the unbuttered side of two bread slices.

Add Blueberries

  • Spoon the blueberry mix on top of the cheese. Spread it gently and evenly.

Close the Sandwich

  • Place the other bread slices on top. Keep the buttered side facing out.

Grill the Sandwich

  • Place the sandwich in the skillet. Cook until the bottom is golden and crisp.

Flip Carefully

  • Flip gently with a spatula. Cook until cheese melts and bread becomes crispy.

Press Slightly

  • Press the sandwich lightly for a crisp texture. Cook for one more minute.

Slice and Serve

  • Remove from skillet. Let cool slightly. Slice in half and enjoy the warm flavors.

Notes

  • Use fresh blueberries for the best taste.
  • Do not overfill the sandwich or it may leak.
  • Use low heat to melt cheese evenly.
