Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 3 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Prepare the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease the muffin tray lightly with butter or oil. This helps prevent sticking and gives a golden crust.

Roll the Pastry

  • Place the puff pastry on a flat surface. Roll it gently using a rolling pin. Make it slightly thinner and even in shape for better layers.

Add Butter Layer

  • Brush melted butter over the pastry sheet. Cover the surface evenly. This step adds richness and helps the cinnamon sugar stick well.

Sprinkle Cinnamon Sugar

  • Mix sugar, brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the buttered pastry. Press lightly so it sticks properly.

Roll the Dough

  • Start rolling the pastry tightly from one side. Make a log shape. Keep it firm but not too tight to maintain soft layers inside.

Cut and Shape

  • Cut the log into 6 equal pieces. Slice each piece in half lengthwise. Twist each strip gently and roll into a spiral shape.

Place in Muffin Tray

  • Put each shaped cruffin into the muffin tray. Make sure they sit properly. Leave some space for rising during baking.

Bake the Cruffins

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18–20 minutes. The cruffins should turn golden brown. The layers will puff and look crispy.

Cool and Serve

  • Remove from oven and let them cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy warm for the best taste.

Notes

  • Use chilled puff pastry for better layers.
  • Do not overfill with sugar mixture.
  • Roll the dough tightly for neat shape.
  • Always preheat the oven before baking.
  • Add cream cheese filling for variation.
  • Serve warm for best flavor and texture.
