Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons beeswax pellets
  • 2 tablespoons shea butter
  • 10 drops peppermint essential oil
  • 10 drops eucalyptus essential oil
  • 5 drops lavender essential oil

Instructions

Melt Coconut Oil and Beeswax

  • Place coconut oil and beeswax in a double boiler. Heat slowly until fully melted, stirring occasionally.

Add Shea Butter

  • Add shea butter to the melted mixture. Stir until completely smooth and combined.

Remove From Heat

  • Take the bowl off the heat to avoid burning essential oils. Let mixture cool slightly.

Add Essential Oils

  • Add peppermint, eucalyptus, and lavender essential oils. Stir gently to combine evenly.

Pour Into Jar

  • Carefully pour the mixture into a small glass jar. Use a spoon to spread evenly if needed.

Let Cool and Set

  • Allow the rub to cool at room temperature for 1–2 hours. It will solidify into a creamy texture.

Seal and Label

  • Close the jar with a lid. Label it with date and contents for easy use.

Use the Rub

  • Apply a small amount to sore muscles. Massage gently until fully absorbed.

Notes

  • Always use a double boiler to prevent overheating the oils.
  • Adjust essential oils based on preference and sensitivity.
  • Coconut oil keeps the rub soft; adjust beeswax for firmer texture.
  • Store in a cool, dry place to prevent melting.
  • Test a small patch of skin first to check for allergies.
