Thai iced tea is a sweet and creamy drink. It is a popular drink in Thai restaurants. The Easy Thai Iced Tea Recipe is simple to make at home. You only need a few ingredients.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 Thai tea bags or 2 tablespoons Thai tea mix
  • 2 tablespoons sugar adjust to taste
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup ice
  • Optional: a pinch of star anise or cardamom

Instructions
 

Boil the water

  • Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan.

Steep the tea

  • Add tea bags or tea mix. Turn off heat and steep for 5 minutes.

Strain the tea

  • Strain the tea into a pitcher. Remove tea leaves or bags.

Add sugar

  • Stir in sugar while the tea is hot. Mix until dissolved.

Cool the tea

  • Let the tea cool to room temperature. Then chill in the fridge.

Prepare glasses

  • Fill glasses with ice.

Pour tea

  • Pour chilled tea into the glasses. Leave room for milk.

Add milk

  • Top with evaporated milk and condensed milk. Stir gently.

Notes

  • Use Thai tea mix for authentic flavor.
  • Adjust sugar to your taste.
  • Chill tea well before adding milk.
  • Add more ice for a colder drink.
  • Try almond milk for a lighter version.
