Ingredients

  • Ripe bananas – 2 medium
  • All-purpose flour – 1½ cups
  • Baking powder – 2 teaspoons
  • Salt – ¼ teaspoon
  • Sugar – 2 tablespoons
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Eggs – 2 large
  • Butter – 3 tablespoons melted
  • Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon

Instructions

Mash the Bananas

  • Peel bananas and mash them in a bowl. Mash until smooth with some small chunks for texture.

Mix Wet Ingredients

  • Add eggs, milk, melted butter and vanilla to mashed bananas. Whisk gently until fully combined.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Stir well to combine evenly.

Combine Wet and Dry

  • Pour dry ingredients into wet mixture. Stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix the batter.

Preheat Waffle Maker

  • Turn on waffle maker and preheat. Brush with a little butter or oil to prevent sticking.

Pour Batter

  • Spoon enough batter into the center of the waffle maker. Spread slightly but do not overfill.

Cook the Waffles

  • Close the waffle maker and cook for 4–5 minutes. Cook until golden brown and fluffy.

Serve Immediately

  • Carefully remove waffles. Serve hot with syrup, fruits or nuts. Repeat with remaining batter.

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for best flavor.
  • Do not overmix batter; waffles stay fluffy.
  • Preheat waffle maker fully before cooking.
  • Brush waffle plates with butter or oil for easy release.
  • Serve immediately for best texture and warmth.
