Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed pineapple with juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 4 slices white bread cut into small pieces
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Set your oven to 180°C (350°F). Let it heat fully before baking. This step is important for even cooking. A hot oven helps the bake rise well and cook properly.

Prepare the Pineapple Mix

  • Take a mixing bowl. Add crushed pineapple with juice. Then add sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract and salt. Mix everything well until smooth and combined.

Add Bread Pieces

  • Now add the bread pieces into the mixture. Mix gently so the bread soaks the liquid. This gives the bake a soft texture and rich flavor.

Pour Into Baking Dish

  • Grease your baking dish lightly with butter. Pour the mixture into it evenly. Spread it with a spatula so the surface is smooth and even.

Bake the Dish

  • Place the dish in the preheated oven. Bake for 40 minutes. The top should turn golden brown. The center should be set and not too soft.

Cool and Serve

  • Remove from oven and let it cool for 10 minutes. This helps it set better. Serve warm for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • Use fresh or canned pineapple. Both work well.
  • Do not remove the juice. It adds moisture.
  • Cut bread into small pieces for better texture.
  • Do not overbake. It may become dry.
  • Add a little cinnamon for extra flavor if you like.
  • Use butter, not margarine, for better taste.
  • Let it rest before serving. It improves texture.
