Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup fresh spinach leaves
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt for sprinkling
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or chili powder

Instructions

Prepare Spinach and Cilantro

  • Wash spinach and cilantro thoroughly. Blend them with water until smooth and bright green.

Make Dough

  • In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, olive oil and blended green mixture. Knead until smooth.

Divide Dough

  • Divide dough into small portions for easier rolling. Keep covered to prevent drying.

Roll Dough Thin

  • Use a rolling pin to roll each portion into thin circles or sheets. Thin dough makes crisp chips.

Cut Shapes

  • Use a knife or pizza cutter to cut triangles or squares. Arrange on a baking sheet.

Preheat Oven or Pan

  • For baking, preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). For frying, heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

Bake or Fry Chips

  • Bake for 8–10 minutes until crispy and slightly golden. Fry in oil for 2–3 minutes per side until crisp.

Cool Chips

  • Remove chips and let them cool on a wire rack or paper towel to drain excess oil.

Season Chips

  • Sprinkle a little salt, garlic powder, or chili powder while warm for extra flavor.

Serve Immediately

  • Serve warm with salsa, guacamole, or cheese dip for a fun and colorful snack.

Notes

  • Roll dough very thin for extra crispiness.
  • Blend spinach and cilantro well for a uniform green color.
  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking when baking.
  • Adjust seasoning according to your taste.
