Ingredients
  

For the Rice:

  • White rice – 2 cups
  • Water – 4 cups
  • Salt – ½ teaspoon

For the Turkey:

  • Ground turkey – 500g
  • Olive oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic – 3 cloves minced
  • Ginger – 1 teaspoon grated
  • Soy sauce – 2 tablespoons
  • Salt – to taste
  • Black pepper – ½ teaspoon

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • Mayonnaise – ½ cup
  • Sweet chili sauce – 3 tablespoons
  • Sriracha – 1 tablespoon
  • Honey – 1 tablespoon

Toppings:

  • Green onions – 2 tablespoons chopped
  • Cucumber – 1 cup sliced
  • Carrots – ½ cup shredded
  • Sesame seeds – 1 teaspoon

Instructions
 

Cook the Rice

  • Wash rice under cold water until clear. Add rice and water to a saucepan. Bring to boil, then cover and simmer for 15 minutes until soft and fluffy.

Prepare the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha and honey. Stir well until smooth. Taste and adjust spice level as needed.

Heat the Pan

  • Place a large pan on medium heat. Add olive oil and let it warm slightly. Do not overheat to avoid burning the garlic.

Cook Garlic and Ginger

  • Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan. Cook for one minute until fragrant. Stir constantly so it does not burn.

Cook the Turkey

  • Add ground turkey to the pan. Break it into small pieces using a spoon. Cook for 7 to 10 minutes until fully cooked and slightly browned.

Add Seasoning

  • Add soy sauce, salt and black pepper. Mix well. Let it cook for 2 more minutes so the flavors combine nicely.

Prepare the Bowls

  • Divide cooked rice into serving bowls. Add cooked turkey on top of the rice evenly.

Add Toppings

  • Add cucumber slices, shredded carrots and green onions. These toppings add crunch and freshness to the bowl.

Drizzle the Sauce
