Ingredients
  

  • Spaghetti pasta – 12 ounces
  • Smoked sausage – 10 ounces sliced
  • Onion – 1 medium chopped
  • Bell pepper – 1 medium sliced
  • Garlic – 3 cloves minced
  • Tomato paste – 3 tablespoons
  • Oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Water or broth – 3 cups
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper – ½ teaspoon
  • Thyme – ½ teaspoon
  • Chili sauce or ketchup – 2 tablespoons
  • Maggi or bouillon – 1 cube

Instructions
 

Boil the spaghetti

  • Bring water to a boil. Add salt. Cook spaghetti until just tender. Drain and set aside.

Cook the sausage

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add sliced sausage. Fry until lightly brown. Remove and keep aside.

Sauté vegetables

  • In same pan, add onion and pepper. Cook until soft. Add garlic and stir briefly.

Build the sauce

  • Add tomato paste, chili sauce and spices. Stir well. Cook until oil shows slightly.

Add liquid

  • Pour water or broth into pan. Add bouillon cube. Stir and let sauce simmer gently.

Combine everything

  • Add cooked spaghetti and sausage. Mix well. Cover and cook until sauce coats pasta fully.

Final taste

  • Taste and adjust salt or spice. Turn off heat. Let rest two minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use smoked sausage for deep flavor.
  • Do not overcook spaghetti.
  • Stir gently to avoid breaking noodles.
  • Add more broth if pasta looks dry.
  • Adjust spice to your taste level.
