Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 cardamom pods crushed
  • 4 cloves
  • 1- inch fresh ginger sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Boil Water and Spices

  • Add water to a saucepan. Add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and ginger. Bring to a gentle boil.

Simmer the Spices

  • Lower the heat. Let the spices simmer for five minutes. This makes a strong spice flavor.

Add Tea Bags

  • Add black tea bags to the spiced water. Let them steep for three minutes.

Add Milk and Sugar

  • Pour milk into the pot. Add sugar and stir gently until dissolved.

Heat the Latte

  • Heat the mixture until warm. Do not boil the milk to avoid burning.

Strain the Tea

  • Use a tea strainer to pour the latte into cups. Remove spices and tea bags.

Add Vanilla

  • Stir in vanilla extract. This adds a sweet, smooth aroma.

Serve Hot

  • Serve the chai latte immediately. Enjoy it while it is warm and creamy.
