Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh or frozen fruit strawberries, mango, or apples
  • 2 –3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup optional
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice keeps color bright
  • Optional spices: cinnamon or vanilla extract

Instructions

Prepare the Fruit

  • Wash and peel fruit if needed. Cut into small pieces for easy blending.

Blend the Fruit

  • Put fruit in blender. Add honey and lemon juice. Blend until smooth puree forms.

Taste and Adjust Sweetness

  • Taste puree. Add more honey if you want it sweeter. Blend again briefly.

Prepare Baking Sheet

  • Line sheet with parchment or silicone mat. Pour puree evenly.

Spread the Puree

  • Use spatula to spread fruit puree thin and even. About 1/8 inch thick.

Dry in Oven or Dehydrator

  • Set oven to 140°F (60°C). Bake 4–6 hours until dry but flexible.

Check for Doneness

  • Fruit leather should not stick. Peel easily from parchment or mat.

Cool Completely

  • Let fruit leather cool. This makes it easier to cut and roll.

Cut into Strips

  • Use knife or scissors. Make strips about 1–2 inches wide.

Roll and Store

  • Roll strips in parchment. Store in airtight container at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use ripe fruits for best flavor.
  • Spread puree thin for faster drying.
  • Add spices like cinnamon for extra taste.
  • Store in cool, dry place to keep chewy texture.
