Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound chicken breast cut into pieces
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon sweetened milk optional

Instructions
 

Prepare the Walnuts

  • Boil sugar and water. Add walnuts. Cook until glossy and sweet. Drain and cool well.

Prepare the Chicken Pieces

  • Season chicken with salt and pepper. Mix gently. Let it sit for a short time.

Coat the Chicken

  • Whisk eggs. Dip each chicken piece in egg. Coat well with cornstarch.

Fry the Chicken

  • Heat oil. Fry chicken until golden and crisp. Place on paper towels.

Mix the Sauce

  • Whisk mayonnaise, honey, lemon juice, and sweetened milk. Mix until smooth.

Combine Everything

  • Put fried chicken in a bowl. Add sauce. Toss gently until coated well.

Add Walnuts on Top

  • Place the candied walnuts on the chicken. Serve warm and fresh.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the walnuts. They can turn hard.
  • Fry chicken in small batches for better crispness.
  • Add more honey if you like extra sweetness.
  • Use fresh lemon juice for bright flavor.
