Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Heat the waffle iron until hot.
  • In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, butter, and vanilla.
  • Pour wet mix into dry mix slowly.
  • Stir gently until combined.
  • Do not overmix or waffles will be hard.
  • Grease the waffle iron lightly.
  • Pour batter into the iron with a ladle.
  • Close and cook until golden brown.
  • Take out waffles with a spatula.
  • Place them on a cooling rack for a moment.
  • Serve hot with your favorite topping.

Notes

  • Always heat the waffle iron before cooking.
  • Use fresh baking powder for better waffles.
  • Do not push the waffle iron lid down.
  • Eat waffles fresh for best taste.
  • Add chocolate chips for extra sweetness.
