Heat the waffle iron until hot.
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, butter, and vanilla.
Pour wet mix into dry mix slowly.
Stir gently until combined.
Do not overmix or waffles will be hard.
Grease the waffle iron lightly.
Pour batter into the iron with a ladle.
Close and cook until golden brown.
Take out waffles with a spatula.
Place them on a cooling rack for a moment.
Serve hot with your favorite topping.
