Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

For coating:

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

Prepare the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper. This helps cookies bake evenly and prevents them from sticking to the tray.

Cream Butter and Sugar

  • In a bowl, mix butter, sugar and brown sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. This step gives cookies a soft texture and rich buttery flavor.

Add Egg and Vanilla

  • Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture. Beat again until smooth. Make sure everything is well combined for even flavor in every cookie.

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well. Slowly add this dry mix to the wet mixture. Stir until a soft dough forms.

Shape the Cookies

  • Scoop small portions of dough and roll into balls. Keep them evenly sized. Place them on the tray with space between each ball for spreading.

Add Cinnamon Coating
