Ingredients

  • 4 cups green cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup purple cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup carrots grated
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

Prepare the Vegetables

  • Wash all vegetables well before cutting. Shred green and purple cabbage finely using a knife or grater. Grate carrots and place everything into a large mixing bowl. Mix lightly.

Make the Dressing

  • In a small bowl, add mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, mustard, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Whisk everything well until smooth and creamy. Make sure there are no lumps.

Combine Everything

  • Pour the dressing over the shredded vegetables. Use a spoon or spatula to mix well. Make sure all cabbage and carrots are fully coated with the creamy dressing.

Chill the Coleslaw

  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or lid. Place it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. This helps flavors mix well and improves the overall taste.

Toss Before Serving

  • Remove the coleslaw from the fridge. Toss it again gently before serving. This keeps the dressing evenly spread and gives the best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Use fresh cabbage for best crunch
  • Chill before serving for better taste
  • Do not add too much dressing
  • Adjust sugar based on taste
  • Add fresh herbs for extra flavor
