Ingredients
  

  • Butter 2 tablespoons
  • All-purpose flour 2 tablespoons
  • Beef broth 2 cups
  • Chicken broth 1 cup
  • Soy sauce 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder ½ teaspoon
  • Garlic powder ½ teaspoon
  • Black pepper ¼ teaspoon
  • Sugar ½ teaspoon
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

Melt the Butter

  • Place saucepan on medium heat. Add butter and let it melt fully without burning or changing color.

Add the Flour

  • Sprinkle flour into melted butter. Whisk constantly until smooth. Cook for one minute to remove raw taste.

Pour in the Broth

  • Slowly add beef and chicken broth. Whisk while pouring to avoid lumps and keep gravy smooth.

Add Seasonings

  • Add soy sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper and sugar. Stir well to mix flavors evenly.

Simmer the Gravy

  • Lower heat and let gravy simmer. Stir often for five minutes until thick and glossy.

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste the gravy carefully. Add salt if needed. Adjust seasoning based on your personal taste.

Serve Warm

  • Remove from heat once thick. Serve warm with fried chicken, rice, or mashed potatoes.
