Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled
  • 2 tablespoons sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 cup cold milk dairy or plant-based
  • Ice cubes optional
  • Whipped cream for topping optional

Instructions
 

Wash the Strawberries

  • Rinse strawberries under cold water. Remove stems and any damaged parts.

Mash the Strawberries

  • Place strawberries in a bowl. Mash them using a fork or potato masher.

Add Sugar

  • Sprinkle sugar over the mashed strawberries. Mix well and let it sit for 5 minutes.

Blend the Strawberries (Optional)

  • For smooth syrup, blend mashed strawberries with sugar in a blender until smooth.

Prepare the Glasses

  • Place a spoonful of the strawberry mixture at the bottom of each glass.

Add Milk

  • Pour cold milk gently over the strawberry syrup. Do not stir yet for a layered look.

Mix and Taste
