For the meatballs:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 egg
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup raisins
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 2 tbsp olive oil
For the sauce:
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- ½ cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- ½ tsp cinnamon optional for warmth
Mix the Meatball Ingredients
In a bowl, add ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, raisins, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika and parsley.
Mix until combined.
Make the Sauce
In the same skillet, add tomato sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, and vinegar.
