Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese mild or medium
  • 1 cup shredded Asadero cheese or mozzarella if not available
  • 1 cup shredded Queso Quesadilla or Oaxaca cheese
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon cornstarch to prevent clumping

Instructions

Shred All Cheeses

  • Use a grater to shred all the cheeses into fine strands. Freshly shredded cheese melts better than pre-shredded cheese.

Add Cheese to a Bowl

  • Place all the shredded cheese into a large mixing bowl. Make sure the bowl is dry and clean.

Toss the Cheese Gently

  • Use your hands to toss the cheese. Mix until all cheeses blend evenly. Do not press too hard.

Add Cornstarch if Needed

  • Sprinkle cornstarch on top. Toss again. This stops the cheese from sticking together.

Move Cheese to Container

  • Place the blended cheese into an airtight bag or container. Remove excess air for longer freshness.

Store in the Fridge

  • Keep the cheese mix in the refrigerator. Use it within one week for the best flavor.

Use in Your Favorite Dishes

  • Add the cheese to tacos, casseroles, burritos, soups, nachos, quesadillas, and dips. Enjoy the creamy melt.

Notes

  • Shred cheese at home for better melt and texture.
  • Use mild cheddar for soft flavor or medium cheddar for stronger taste.
  • If Asadero is hard to find, use mozzarella or provolone.
  • Add a little cornstarch to avoid clumps.
  • Mix cheeses well to get even flavor in all bites.
