Ingredients
  

  • Frozen cheese ravioli 700 grams
  • Ground beef 400 grams
  • Marinara sauce 2 cups
  • Cream cheese 225 grams, softened
  • Sour cream 1 cup
  • Ricotta cheese 1 cup
  • Mozzarella cheese 2 cups, shredded
  • Parmesan cheese ½ cup, grated
  • Onion 1 small, chopped
  • Garlic 2 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil 1 tablespoon
  • Salt 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper ½ teaspoon
  • Italian seasoning 1 teaspoon

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven

  • Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). A hot oven helps the casserole bake evenly.

Cook the beef

  • Heat oil in a skillet. Add beef and cook until browned. Break it apart while cooking.

Add onion and garlic

  • Add onion and garlic to beef. Cook until soft and fragrant, about two minutes.

Season the meat

  • Add salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir well so flavor spreads evenly.

Add marinara sauce

  • Pour marinara sauce into the skillet. Simmer gently for five minutes, then turn off heat.

Mix the cheese layer

  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream and ricotta. Stir until smooth and creamy.

Start layering

  • Spread a thin sauce layer in the baking dish. This prevents sticking and adds flavor.

Add ravioli

  • Place half the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.

Add cheese mixture

  • Spread half the cheese mixture over ravioli. Smooth it gently using a spoon.

Add meat sauce

  • Spoon half the meat sauce evenly over the cheese layer.

Repeat layers

  • Add remaining ravioli, cheese mixture and meat sauce in the same order.

Add top cheese

  • Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly on top for a golden finish.

Bake the casserole

  • Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes until bubbly and heated through.

Remove foil

  • Remove foil and bake for 15 more minutes. The cheese should melt and brown lightly.

Rest before serving

  • Let casserole rest ten minutes. This helps layers set and slice neatly.
