Ingredients
  

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ cup white vinegar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • ½ cup water

Instructions
 

Mix the Dry Ingredients

  • In a small bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, mustard, and paprika.

Add the Wet Ingredients

  • Add water, vinegar, and lemon juice. Whisk until smooth.

Heat the Mixture

  • Pour the mix into a saucepan. Cook on low heat, stirring until it thickens. Remove from heat and let it cool.

Add the Egg Yolk

  • In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolk until creamy. Slowly add it to the cooled mixture, whisking constantly.

Add the Oil

  • Slowly pour in the oil while whisking. The dressing will become smooth and creamy.

Chill and Serve

  • Transfer to a jar and refrigerate for 1–2 hours before using.

  • Always add oil slowly for the right texture.
  • Use fresh lemon juice for a bright flavor.
  • Keep whisking to avoid lumps.
  • Chill before serving for better taste.
