Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee or espresso powder
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Small pinch of salt

Optional add-ins:

  • Chocolate chips
  • Caramel swirl
  • Crushed cookies
  • Mocha syrup

Instructions
 

Mix the Milk and Cream

  • Add whole milk and heavy cream to a bowl. Whisk gently until they blend into a smooth liquid.

Add Instant Coffee

  • Sprinkle instant coffee into the milk mixture. Whisk until the coffee fully dissolves without leaving lumps behind.

Add Sugar and Vanilla

  • Add sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir well until everything mixes evenly in the bowl.

Pour Into Ninja Pint

  • Pour the mixture into the Ninja Creami pint container. Make sure the liquid stays below the max fill line.

Freeze the Mixture

  • Place the pint in the freezer for 12 hours. The mixture must be fully solid for the machine to work.

Spin the Gelato

  • Remove the pint from the freezer. Place it into the Ninja Creami. Use the “Gelato” function and let it spin.

Check the Texture

  • If the gelato looks crumbly, add one tablespoon of milk. Spin again using the “Re-spin” option.

Add Mix-ins (Optional)

  • Create a hole in the center. Add chocolate chips, caramel, or cookies. Spin on “Mix-in” mode.

Serve Fresh

  • Scoop the creamy gelato into bowls. Serve immediately for best and smoothest texture.

Store Leftovers

  • Store in the freezer with a lid. Re-spin before serving again to restore smooth texture.

Notes

  • Use instant espresso for stronger flavor.
  • Do not reduce freezing time or texture won’t be smooth.
  • Add sweeteners slowly because coffee flavor can be very bold.
  • For thicker gelato, add two extra teaspoons of cream.
  • If the gelato feels icy, re-spin with one tablespoon of milk.
