Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon black tea leaves or 1 tea bag
  • 1/2 cup milk whole or your choice
  • 2 tablespoons Okinawa brown sugar or dark brown sugar
  • Ice cubes optional for iced tea

Instructions

Boil the Water

  • Heat 1 cup of water in a small saucepan. Bring it to a gentle boil. This is the base for the tea infusion.

Brew the Tea

  • Add black tea leaves or tea bag to the boiling water. Let it steep for 3–5 minutes. Strain the leaves after brewing.

Prepare the Sugar

  • Add 2 tablespoons of Okinawa brown sugar to the hot tea. Stir until it fully dissolves for a rich caramel flavor.

Heat the Milk

  • In another small saucepan, warm 1/2 cup milk over low heat. Avoid boiling. Warm milk blends better with tea.

Mix Tea and Milk

  • Slowly pour warm milk into the sweetened tea. Stir gently with a whisk to combine evenly. The tea turns creamy and smooth.

Serve Hot or Cold

  • Pour the tea into cups for hot Okinawa Milk Tea. For iced tea, add ice cubes and serve chilled immediately.

Notes

  • Use high-quality black tea for best flavor
  • Adjust sugar based on your sweetness preference
  • Warm milk slowly to avoid burning
  • Serve immediately for the best taste
  • Optional: add a pinch of vanilla for extra flavor
