Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Butter or oil for cooking

Optional Add-ins:

  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Blueberries
  • Sprinkles
  • Cinnamon

Instructions

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt to a bowl. Whisk gently to mix everything well together.

Mix Wet Ingredients

  • In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Combine Both Mixtures

  • Pour the wet mix into the dry mix. Stir softly until the batter becomes thick and smooth.

Heat Your Pan

  • Place a non-stick pan on medium heat. Add a little butter or oil to prevent sticking while cooking.

Scoop Small Batter Drops

  • Use a small spoon or scoop. Drop tiny circles of batter onto the hot pan carefully.

Cook the Poppers

  • Let each popper cook for 1–2 minutes. Cook until small bubbles appear on the surface.

Flip Gently

  • Use a spatula to flip each popper. Cook the other side for 1 minute until golden brown.

Add Optional Fillings

  • If adding chocolate chips or fruit, press them gently into the batter after flipping.

Remove from Pan

  • Place finished poppers on a plate or cooling rack. They should look fluffy and lightly golden.

Serve Warm

  • Enjoy poppers warm with maple syrup, honey, chocolate sauce, or any dip you love.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the batter or the poppers become dense.
  • Keep heat on medium to avoid burning.
  • Use a squeeze bottle for perfect tiny circles.
  • Add fruit or chocolate to the batter for extra flavor.
  • Make a big batch and freeze leftovers for quick snacks.
