Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions

Mash the Bananas

  • Take ripe bananas in a bowl. Use a fork to mash them well. Make sure the texture is smooth with small lumps for best flavor.

Mix Wet Ingredients

  • Add melted butter to the mashed bananas. Mix well. Add sugar, eggs and vanilla extract. Whisk until the mixture becomes smooth and slightly creamy.

Add Dry Ingredients

  • Add flour, baking soda and salt into the bowl. Mix gently using a spatula. Do not overmix, as it can make the bread dense.

Add Nuts

  • Fold in chopped walnuts or pecans. Mix lightly so nuts spread evenly. This adds crunch and texture to the soft bread.

Prepare the Pan

  • Grease a loaf pan with butter or oil. You can also use parchment paper. This helps the bread come out easily after baking.

Pour the Batter

  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spread evenly with a spatula. Tap the pan lightly to remove air bubbles.

Bake the Bread

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake for 50 to 55 minutes. Insert a toothpick in the center. If it comes out clean, the bread is ready.

Cool and Slice

  • Remove the bread from oven and let it cool for 10 minutes. Take it out of the pan and cool completely. Slice and serve fresh.

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for better flavor
  • Do not overmix the batter
  • Add cinnamon for extra taste
  • Use fresh nuts for best crunch
  • Check doneness with toothpick
  • Let bread cool before slicing
