Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 jar caramel sauce
  • 1 ½ cups whipped topping
  • ½ cup crushed toffee or chocolate candy bars
  • ¼ cup chocolate syrup optional

Instructions

Prepare the Cake Batter

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix cake mix, eggs, oil and water. Beat until smooth. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish evenly.

Bake the Cake

  • Place the dish in the oven. Bake for 30 minutes or until done. Check with a toothpick. If it comes out clean, the cake is ready to remove.

Poke Holes in Cake

  • Let the cake cool for 10 minutes. Use a fork or skewer. Poke many holes all over the cake surface. This helps the filling soak inside.

Add Milk and Caramel

  • Pour sweetened condensed milk slowly over the cake. Then add caramel sauce. Make sure it goes into the holes. This step makes the cake very moist.

Chill the Cake

  • Cover the cake and place it in the refrigerator. Chill for at least one hour. This helps the flavors mix well and improves the texture.

Add Topping and Garnish

  • Spread whipped topping evenly on top. Sprinkle crushed candy pieces over it. Drizzle chocolate syrup if desired. Serve chilled for best taste.

Notes

  • Use good quality caramel for better flavor.
  • Do not skip poking holes in the cake.
  • Chill the cake properly before serving.
  • Use fresh whipped topping for best texture.
  • Add extra candy topping for more crunch.
  • Store cake covered to keep it moist.
