Equipment

  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk or fork
  • Measuring Cups
  • Cutting Board
  • Sharp knife
  • Serving bowl
  • Small mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 4 cups shredded broccoli slaw mix broccoli stems, carrots and cabbage
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup toasted slivered almonds optional

Instructions

Prepare the Vegetables

  • Place the shredded broccoli slaw mix in a large mixing bowl. Make sure it is fresh and dry. Chop any large pieces if needed. Set aside.

Make the Dressing

  • In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, salt and black pepper. Whisk well until smooth and creamy.

Mix Dressing with Slaw

  • Pour the dressing over the broccoli slaw. Toss gently using a spoon or tongs. Make sure every piece is coated evenly with the creamy dressing.

Add Green Onions

  • Add chopped green onions to the slaw. Stir gently to mix. This adds a fresh and mild onion flavor to the salad.

Add Almonds (Optional)

  • If using, sprinkle toasted slivered almonds over the top. Stir lightly. Almonds add crunch and extra flavor to the broccoli slaw.

Chill Before Serving

  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Chilling helps flavors blend together and enhances the taste.

Serve Fresh

  • Transfer the slaw to a serving bowl. Garnish with extra green onions or almonds if desired. Serve cold for best flavor and crunch.

Notes

  • Use fresh broccoli slaw mix for the best crunch.
  • Adjust honey for desired sweetness.
  • Toast almonds lightly to enhance flavor.
  • Chill for 30 minutes before serving.
  • Mix gently to avoid breaking vegetables.
