Ingredients

  • Ground beef – 500g
  • Onion chopped – 1 medium
  • Garlic minced – 3 cloves
  • Canned diced tomatoes – 2 cups
  • Tomato sauce – 1 cup
  • Kidney beans drained – 1 can
  • Black beans drained – 1 can
  • Corn drained – 1 cup
  • Taco seasoning – 2 tbsp
  • Ranch seasoning mix – 1 tbsp
  • Beef broth – 2 cups
  • Salt – to taste
  • Black pepper – 1 tsp
  • Olive oil – 1 tbsp

Instructions

Cook the Ground Beef

  • Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add olive oil and ground beef. Cook until browned. Break it into small pieces. Stir often so it cooks evenly and does not stick.

Add Onion and Garlic

  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the beef. Cook for 3–4 minutes. Stir well until onion becomes soft and slightly golden. This adds a deep flavor to the soup.

Mix in Seasonings

  • Add taco seasoning and ranch seasoning. Stir well so the beef is coated evenly. Cook for 1–2 minutes to release the spices' aroma and flavor.

Add Tomatoes and Sauce

  • Pour in diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. Stir everything together. Let it cook for a few minutes so the flavors start blending nicely.

Add Beans and Corn

  • Add kidney beans, black beans and corn. Stir well. These ingredients make the soup thick and filling. They also add texture and nutrition.

Pour in Broth

  • Add beef broth and mix everything well. Bring the soup to a gentle boil. This step helps combine all the flavors into one rich base.

Simmer the Soup

  • Reduce heat to low and let the soup simmer for 15–20 minutes. Stir occasionally. The soup will become thick and flavorful as it cooks slowly.

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste the soup and add salt or pepper if needed. Adjust spices based on your taste. You can also add chili flakes if you like extra heat.

Serve Hot

  • Turn off the heat and let the soup rest for a few minutes. Serve hot in bowls. Add your favorite toppings for extra flavor and fun.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef to reduce extra fat.
  • You can replace beef with chicken or turkey.
  • Add jalapeños if you like spicy food.
  • Do not skip ranch seasoning. It gives unique flavor.
  • Simmer longer for deeper taste.
  • Add cheese on top for a creamy finish.
  • Use fresh lime juice for a fresh twist.
