Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 5 –6 cups cornflake cereal or rice cereal

Instructions

Prepare the Pan

  • Line your baking dish with parchment paper.
  • This makes the bars easy to remove later.

Heat the Peanut Butter Mixture

  • In a saucepan, add sugar and corn syrup.
  • Cook on medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  • Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and vanilla.

Add the Cereal

  • Place cereal in a large bowl.
  • Pour the warm peanut butter mixture over it.
  • Stir gently until all cereal is coated.

Press Into the Dish

  • Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  • Press down lightly to form an even layer.

Cool and Cut

  • Let the bars cool for 30 minutes.
  • Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • Do not boil the sugar mixture—just heat until dissolved.
  • For extra crunch, add chopped peanuts.
  • Use rice cereal if you want a lighter texture.
  • Add melted chocolate drizzle on top for a sweet twist.
  • Press gently—too much pressure can make bars hard.
