Ingredients

  • 1 head iceberg lettuce chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 cup cucumber chopped
  • 1 cup cooked peas
  • 1/2 cup red onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices cooked bacon crumbled

For Dressing:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Vegetables

  • Wash all vegetables well. Chop lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber into small pieces. Keep them ready in separate bowls for easy layering.

Cook the Bacon

  • Cook bacon in a pan until crispy. Place on paper towel to remove extra oil. Let it cool, then crumble into small pieces.

Make the Dressing

  • In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, sugar and vinegar. Add salt and pepper. Stir until smooth and creamy dressing forms.

Start with Lettuce Layer

  • Place chopped lettuce at the bottom of your glass bowl. Spread evenly. This creates a fresh and crunchy base layer.

Add Vegetable Layers

  • Add tomatoes, cucumber, peas and onion one by one. Spread each layer evenly. Do not mix them together.

Add Cheese Layer

  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the vegetables. This adds a rich and slightly salty flavor to the salad.

Spread the Dressing

  • Carefully spread the dressing over the top. Cover all layers completely. This seals the salad and keeps it fresh.

Add Bacon on Top

  • Sprinkle crumbled bacon over the dressing. This adds crunch and a smoky flavor to the salad.

Chill Before Serving

  • Cover the bowl and place it in the fridge. Chill for at least 2 hours. This helps flavors blend well.

Serve Fresh

  • Serve the salad cold. Scoop deep to get all layers in one serving. Enjoy the mix of flavors and textures.

Notes

  • Use fresh and crisp vegetables
  • Chill the salad before serving
  • Use a clear bowl for a pretty look
  • Do not mix layers before serving
  • Cook bacon until very crispy
  • Adjust dressing sweetness to taste
  • Add boiled eggs for extra protein
  • Use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream if needed
