Ingredients
  

For the crust:

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cold butter cubed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 –8 tablespoons cold water

For the filling:

  • 6 medium apples peeled and sliced
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions
  

Prepare the Pie Dough

  • In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Add cold butter and mix until crumbly. Add cold water slowly. Form dough into a ball. Chill in fridge for 30 minutes.

Roll the Dough

  • Divide dough into two parts. Roll one part into a circle. Place it into the pie dish. Press gently to fit the base and sides evenly.

Make the Apple Filling

  • In a bowl, mix sliced apples, sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add lemon juice. Toss well until apples are evenly coated with mixture.

Fill the Pie

Add the Top Crust
