Ingredients

  • Bacon – 1 pound chopped
  • Onion – 1 medium finely chopped
  • Garlic – 2 cloves minced
  • Brown sugar – ½ cup
  • Brewed coffee – ¼ cup
  • Apple cider vinegar – 2 tablespoons
  • Maple syrup – 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper – ½ teaspoon

Instructions

Cook the Bacon

  • Place chopped bacon in a large skillet. Cook on medium heat. Stir often until bacon becomes crispy and brown. Remove extra grease but leave some for flavor.

Add Onion and Garlic

  • Add chopped onion to the skillet. Cook until soft and golden. Add minced garlic. Stir and cook for one more minute.

Add Sweet Ingredients

  • Add brown sugar and maple syrup. Stir well until sugar melts. The mixture will look thick and shiny.

Add Coffee and Vinegar

  • Pour in brewed coffee and apple cider vinegar. Stir gently. Let the mixture simmer on low heat.

Simmer and Thicken

  • Cook on low heat for 25 minutes. Stir often to avoid burning. The jam should become thick and sticky.

Cool and Store

  • Turn off heat and let the jam cool. Spoon into a clean glass jar. Seal tightly and refrigerate.

Notes

  • Use thick-cut bacon for best texture.
  • Stir often to stop sticking.
  • Low heat gives better flavor.
  • Adjust sugar for more sweetness.
  • Let jam cool before storing.
