For the Dough:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
- 1 large egg
For the Filling:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups finely chopped cabbage
- 1 small onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Do not use hot milk for yeast. It can kill yeast.
- Let filling cool before placing in dough.
- Seal edges tightly to prevent leaks.
- Brush tops with melted butter for shine.
- Do not overfill rolls.
- Store extra filling for later use.
