Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1 bag 20 oz frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 ½ cups whole milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ cup chopped green onions optional

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish lightly with oil or butter. This prevents sticking and helps with easy serving later.

Cook the Sausage

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage. Break it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned fully. Drain extra grease if needed.

Prepare the Egg Mixture

  • In a large bowl, crack the eggs. Add milk, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Whisk well until smooth and slightly frothy. This creates a fluffy texture.

Layer the Hash Browns

  • Spread thawed hash browns evenly in the greased baking dish. Press them down gently to form an even base layer across the bottom.

Add Sausage and Cheese

  • Sprinkle the cooked sausage evenly over the hash browns. Add shredded cheddar cheese on top. Spread it evenly for balanced flavor in every bite.

Pour the Egg Mixture

  • Slowly pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients. Make sure the liquid spreads evenly across the dish. Gently shake the pan if needed.
