Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

Soften the Cream Cheese

  • Remove cream cheese from the fridge early. Let it soften fully for smooth mixing.

Mix the Base

  • Add cream cheese to a bowl. Mix until smooth and creamy using a spoon or mixer.

Add Cheddar Cheese

  • Add shredded cheddar cheese. Mix gently until cheese spreads evenly through the mixture.

Add Seasonings

  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined.

Add Green Onions

  • Stir in chopped green onions. Make sure they spread evenly for balanced flavor.

Shape the Cheese Ball

  • Place mixture on plastic wrap. Shape into a round ball using clean hands.

Chill the Cheese Ball

  • Wrap tightly and chill for at least one hour. This helps it hold shape.

Coat with Pecans

  • Roll chilled cheese ball in chopped pecans. Press gently so nuts stick well.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Place on a serving plate. Let it sit five minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use full-fat cream cheese for best texture.
  • Shred cheese fresh for better melting.
  • Chill longer for a firmer cheese ball.
  • Adjust seasoning to match your taste.
  • Use gloves when shaping to avoid sticking.
